Château Echandens

Château Echandens+
Château Echandens was built in 1554 by Ferdinand de Loys on the ruins of a feudal fortress that belonged to the lordship of Lausanne. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the castle was renovated. Ownership passed to the Lords of Praroman, of Rosset, de Crousaz, of Johannot (citizens of Echandens since 1734) and of Redard, citizens of Geneva. On May 29, 1978, Margerite Franko-Redard sold the castle to the municipality of Echandens.
