The origins of Château Malou date back to 1776, when Lambert de Lamberts commissioned the construction of the current building. It was erected on the site of an older, smaller 17th-century hunting lodge. Throughout its history, the castle was owned by notable figures such as Pierre-Louis Van Gobbelschroy and later Jules Malou, who lived from 1810 to 1886 and to whom the estate owes its current name.
