Château Nyon
On the eastern edge of Nyon's old town, Château Nyon stands at an elevation of approximately 401 meters above sea level.
History+
The castle's origins date back to the 13th century when it was built. Initially, it served as a residence for the Counts and Dukes of Savoy. During the later Bernese period, it became the seat of the bailiffs. Between 1574 and 1583, the structure underwent extensive expansion and redesign, giving it its current form.

Today, the castle houses a museum. It is publicly accessible.
