History+
The origins of Château Olivier date back to the Middle Ages. In the late 15th century, it was owned by the local nobleman Rostand d'Olivey. Historical accounts suggest that figures such as the Black Prince and Bertrand du Guesclin were guests here. After numerous changes of ownership, the estate passed into the possession of the de Bethmann family at the beginning of the 20th century, who still manage it today. The wines of Château Olivier were classified in 1953, both the red and white varieties.
