In Pauillac, France, is Château Pichon-Longueville-Comtesse de Lalande. It is known as one of the wineries in the Bordeaux region and has held the rank of Deuxième Grand Cru Classé since the 1855 classification.

History+

The estate's origins date back to 1660 when Pierre de Mazure de Rauzan acquired the first plots of land. Through the marriage of his daughter to Jacques de Pichon, Baron de Longueville, in 1694, the estate was renamed “Château Pichon-Longueville”. In the mid-19th century, the property was divided: while Baron Joseph de Pichon-Longueville retained two-fifths, his three daughters, including the Comtesse de Lalande, received the remaining three-fifths.
