Château Régis

Château Régis in Marseille, France, stands out due to its architecture, which pays homage to the Château de Chenonceau, thereby bringing a touch of the Loire Valley to Provence.
History+
The structure was built in the 19th century, specifically between 1860 and 1865. The design was conceived by the Marseilles architects Sixte Rey and Vaud for the shipowner and merchant Louis Régis, who gave the castle its name. The exterior design was executed by the sculptor Émile Aldebert. Since October 3, 1996, the castle, its keep, and the associated park have been protected as a Monument historique.
