Château Saint-Saphorin-sur-Morges

The castle's origins date back to the early 16th century, when the area where it now stands was divided between the noble families of Saint-Saphorin and Colombier. This also explains the two watchtowers of the current structure. In the mid-16th century, the share of the Colombier family passed through the marriage of Marguerite von Colombier to François d’Allinges. The property was further inherited when Elisabeth d’Allinges married André de Pesmes in 1592, whose family had been established in Geneva since the 14th century.
