In Cannes, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region of France, stands the Château Vallombrosa, also known as the Hôtel du Parc. It once served as a hotel and today is a residential building. It is an example of 19th-century architecture on the Côte d'Azur.

History+

The construction of the castle took place between 1852 and 1856 on behalf of Lord Londesborough, who had it built as a hotel for Sir Thomas-Robinson Woolfield. Lord Londesborough later sold the property to Marquess Conyngham. In 1860, Marquis de Morès, who later became Duke de Vallombrosa, acquired the building and expanded it with a chapel and a garden.
