Das Delitzsches Palais+
The Delitzsch Palace was built in 1721 on behalf of George I, Elector of Brunswick-Lüneburg, for his illegitimate daughter Countess Anna Louise von Delitz. Around 1770, it was converted into a three-wing complex by the Counts of Wallmoden-Gimborn. From 1836, the palace was owned by the Kings of Hanover. From 1864 to 1865, the facade was redesigned, and from 1866 it housed the painting collection of the Princes of Hanover. Since 1955, the palace has housed the Museum of the House of Hanover. Since 2011, parts of the palace have served as a private residence for a Prince of Hanover.
