Palais Kürnbach

The baroque Deutschherrenhaus with two barns was built in 1732.

The Deutschherrenhaus in Waldbreitbach was built in 1732 by the Teutonic Order. It served as the administrative seat of the local Teutonic Order commandery.

The Teutonic Order, a spiritual knightly order, had extensive possessions in the region and played an important role in its development.

In the course of secularization at the beginning of the 19th century, the Deutschherrenhaus came into private ownership.

The Deutschherrenhaus is a two-story baroque building with a mansard roof. The facade is adorned with simple stucco decorations.

Particularly noteworthy are the original wooden staircase and some well-preserved stucco ceilings inside the house.

The two barns, which belong to the complex, are also from the 18th century and are typical examples of rural architecture of that time.

Today, the Deutschherrenhaus is privately owned and is used for residential purposes.

It is a listed building and is considered an important architectural monument in Waldbreitbach.

The Deutschherrenhaus contributes significantly to the historical townscape and is a testimony to the rich history of the region.

Restoration Measures

In recent years, extensive restoration measures have been carried out on the Deutschherrenhaus to preserve its historical substance.
