Deutschordensschloss Kirchhausen, a former moated castle, is a Renaissance edifice in Heilbronn-Kirchhausen. Its two-winged architecture with four round towers makes it a rare example within the building activities of the Teutonic Order.

History+

The construction of the castle took place between 1572 and 1576, initiated by Grand Master Heinrich von Bobenhausen. The design is attributed to the Weinsberg master builder Thomas Knoll, whose stonemason's mark, despite his death in 1573, is preserved in the archway. In October 1986, a new bell tower was added to the castle.
