The Dörnberg Palais in Regensburg is a historic residence with a landscape park. Located a few meters west of Regensburg's old town, it is an example of 19th-century architecture.

History+

The origins of the Dörnberg Palais date back to the years 1804 to 1806. During this period, the Jewish banker Philipp Reichenberger, who served as court factor for the Princes of Thurn and Taxis, commissioned the construction of a suburban villa along with an approximately 1.9-hectare park. The design was by Emanuel Herigoyen. In 1832, Baron Ernst Friedrich von Dörnberg, the general administrator for the Princes of Thurn and Taxis, acquired the estate.
