Doktor Castle
In the Glas district of Salzburg stands the Doktorschlössl, once also known as Schloss Radaun. It is characterized by its cubic architecture and corner turrets.
History+
The first documented mention of the property occurred in 1116, when it was owned by Nonnberg Abbey. The castle received its current name around 1670 from Franz Mayr, a princely physician to Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau and son-in-law of master builder Santino Solari. A transformation of the building took place in 1879 by Baron von Fuchs, who had the four hexagonal turrets added to the corners.

Today, the three-story Doktorschlössl houses a hotel. The building features a hipped gable roof and a ground floor reinforced by buttresses. On the east side, three arched windows on the ground floor and first floor each adorn an arcade front.
