Grimme Church

The fieldstone church was built in the second half of the 13th century. The lower floor of the free-standing square church tower from the 13th century southwest of the nave is made of fieldstones. It was raised by two floors of plastered bricks in 1717 and covered with an octagonal broken spire, which is interrupted in the middle by a lantern. The interior of the nave, equipped with three-sided galleries, is spanned by a wooden beam ceiling. A wooden altarpiece was transformed into a pulpit altar by inserting a polygonal pulpit. The organ by an unknown organ builder with four stops on one manual and an attached pedal was purchased for the village church in 1891 by the Barnim Grüneberg workshop. The bell from 1680 comes from the Szczecin bell founder Lorenz Köckeritz. A mural from 1916 depicting the departure of the warriors was created by the Angermünde church painter Erich Kistenmacher (1874–1948).
