Ehemaliges Kloster

The monastery's construction commenced in 1900, made possible by the generous endowment of Ferdinand Jäger, a native of Reisbach, with the market community providing the necessary land. The Minorites moved into the monastery in November 1901 and subsequently dedicated themselves to pastoral care, particularly at the nearby pilgrimage church of St. Salvator. Over the years, 16 friars served as guardians, guiding the monastery's affairs. In July 1977, the provincial chapter in Würzburg decided to dissolve the monastery, a decision communicated in August of the same year.

The former monastery is located at the northern end of Reisbach's market square in the Dingolfing-Landau district of Bavaria. It lies directly north of the Salvator Church at Dingolfinger Straße 1. Jägerstraße, which runs north and west of the building, is named in honor of the monastery's founder.

Following its dissolution in 1977, the building became private property and was converted into a multi-family residence. In October 2021, it sustained significant damage due to a fire and has since been uninhabitable.
