The residence of the Archbishop of Bamberg is the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Bamberg, which also includes the suffragan dioceses of Eichstätt, Speyer, and Würzburg. The palace was built in 1769.
Currently, the incumbent Archbishop of Bamberg, Prof. Dr. Ludwig Schick, resides there.
