In the East Lothian region, near Musselburgh, stands Fa'side Castle, a historic castle in Scotland. Its history dates back to the 14th century.

History+

The origins of Fa'side Castle trace back to 1371, when the Fawsydes family erected an initial fortification on this site. The oldest surviving part of the current structure was built in the 15th century, also under the patronage of the Fawsydes. A significant event was the castle's destruction by English troops in 1547 during the Battle of Pinkie Cleugh, after which it was subsequently rebuilt.
