History+

Fortress Ingolstadt-Werk Nr. 99 Minucci was built as part of the first outer defensive belt of the Ingolstadt state fortress. The plans for this belt originally envisioned four outworks and two cross blockhouses. The Minucci cross blockhouse was constructed starting in 1837, making it one of the first completed works of this phase. It served as a component of the defensive structures intended to protect the city from artillery bombardment.
