The Fort can be visited

Fort de Hollogne is one of the fortifications that once protected the Belgian city of Liège. As part of a defensive ring, it is an example of the military architecture of the late 19th century and the events of both World Wars.

History+

The first modern fortifications around Liège were constructed between 1880 and 1890 on the initiative of Belgian General Henri Alexis Brialmont. These forts, including Hollogne, were positioned approximately seven kilometers from the city center and built entirely from the then-novel material concrete, equipped with weaponry.
