Vossenberg Fortress
Fortress Vossenberg is a fortification complex in the Netherlands, which served as part of the Peel-Raam Line. This site is located near Meijel.
History+
The construction of Fortress Vossenberg took place between 1938 and 1939. Originally, the complex comprised seven concrete bunkers. During the Western Campaign, the fortress remained undamaged, but in 1944, it was repeatedly contested between German and Allied forces, changing hands multiple times.

Fortress Vossenberg is situated in Meijel, a municipality in the province of Limburg in the Zuid-Nederland region, Netherlands. It is located at an elevation of approximately 29 meters above sea level.

Today, five of the original seven bunkers of Fortress Vossenberg are still preserved. These extend over a front length of nearly 500 meters and are accessible to visitors.
