The Freisitz Moos in Gmunden-Traundorf, Upper Austria, is a historic manor and estate house. As a Freisitz, it originally enjoyed special privileges, being exempt from Gmunden's municipal jurisdiction and tax obligations.

History+

The first documented mention of Freisitz Moos dates back to 1607. In 1642, Johann Wankhammer was recorded as the owner, followed by Maria Anna Artstätter in 1764. The estate was still registered in the land registry in 1848. The integration of Traundorf into the Burgfrieden of Gmunden, which began in 1603 and was finally completed in 1637, ended tension between the district and the city.
