Mühlleiten Castle

The first documented mention of the noble family of Mühlwanger, who appear as the first owners of Mühlleiten around 1550, dates back to 1305 in Traundorf. Later, the Freisitz came into the possession of the Jörger family and was assigned as a private estate to the Neydharting dominion. In 1565, Wolfgang Pagkhl is named as the owner, followed by Hans Schintler (1575) and Count Schernberg (1580). Sebastian von Seeau acquired the property in 1603, before it passed to Abraham von Rohrbach and Marbach zu Ebenzweier in 1607. Weikhart Plass, an imperial servant and administrator of Puchheim, acquired Mühlleiten in 1610.
