Museum

The Princely Palace of Seesen, a structure in the town of Seesen, now houses a museum. Originally built as a manor farm, it evolved into a palace.

History+

The palace's origins lie in a manor farm, which was erected at the beginning of the 18th century. In 1757, a renovation transformed the estate into a hunting lodge. After the dissolution of the ducal household in 1790, the forestry authority took over the building. A change occurred in 1928 when the palace received its characteristic half-timbered facade.
