In the village of Nordendorf stands a remnant building of Fuggerschloss Nordendorf. The two-story saddle-roofed structure is in the Augsburg district.

Around 1520, the brothers Hans Leonhard and Anton Bimmel from Augsburg acquired the Bavarian fiefdom of Nordendorf. Through marriage, Nordendorf passed to the Augsburg patrician family Rehlinger in 1580. Anton von Rehlinger had the high castle built around 1560, which included a tower-like manor house. This possibly featured corner turrets or oriels and a steep saddle roof with wavy or stepped gables. In 1580, the Fuggers acquired the castle and estate of Nordendorf for 30,000 guilders, which thereafter served as the administrative center for the Fugger-Nordendorf secondary line. The Fugger-Nordendorf family remained resident in Nordendorf until 1878. A fire destroyed the high castle in 1862 (or 1864).
