Yellow Castle (Wehrda)

The origins of the Yellow Castle date back to the 17th century. It served as the residence of the von Campenhausen family, who operate forestry on the estate and maintain a seed business for grasses. It was also the starting point for what later became the experimental farm for grassland agriculture, now established as an outpost of the Hessian State Office for Agriculture, known as the Eichhof Agricultural Center.
