The Castle can be visited

In Wörlitz, Saxony-Anhalt, stands the Gothic House, a manor and estate house with two distinct facades. It was built in the Neo-Gothic style and once served as a residence and museum for Prince Leopold.

History+

The construction of the Gothic House took place between 1773 and 1813 under the direction of Erdmannsdorff and building director Georg Christoph Hesekiel. The English country seat Strawberry Hill, which Prince Leopold had encountered during his travels, served as an inspiration. The side facing the Wolfskanal resembles a Venetian church, while the garden side is designed in the Tudor Gothic style.
