The Graf-Lodron Sekundogeniturpalast in Salzburg is a residence that once served as the domicile for the second line of the Lodron family. Today, the building houses a modern hotel and other shops.

History+

The construction of the Graf-Lodron Sekundogeniturpalast dates back to the 17th century. Prince-Archbishop Paris Lodron had the building erected for his sisters Barbara Countess Liechtenstein and Eleonore Countess Spaun, after he had endowed a portion of the newly developed land in the Andräviertel for his family in 1643. The original structure was three stories high and featured two entrance gates, a garden, and separate buildings for administrators and servants.
