In Hötensleben, Saxony-Anhalt, lies the Hötensleben Border Memorial, a preserved section of the former inner-German border, directly adjacent to the village's buildings.

History+

The border installations in Hötensleben were placed under monument protection on January 12, 1990, to preserve their condition from 1989. Since 2004, the memorial has been an integral part of the German Division Memorial Marienborn, located approximately 18 kilometers to the north. In 2011, the site, along with the Marienborn memorial, was recognized as a European Cultural Heritage site.
