Hoope Manor

To be privately owned

Shortly before 1600, the Hoope estate, until then owned by the Klenke family, passed into the possession of the Junker Franz von Trampe, who came from Pomerania. The Junker's feudal lord and sovereign was Duke Philipp Sigismund of Brunswick-Lüneburg, who had ruled over the Syke district since 1589 and had received the Wölpe and Diepenau districts as secular benefices from his brothers. The Hoope estate owner Franz von Trampe became Drost for the Wölpe, Diepenau and Syke districts under this sovereign until his death in 1610. The current main house of Gut Hoope was built in 1805.
