Ralligen Manor (Merligen)

Gut Ralligen in Merligen is a historic manor and estate house, with origins dating back to the 14th century. It now serves as a spiritual center.

The history of Gut Ralligen begins in the 14th century, when it was used as a vineyard estate by the Interlaken Monastery. Following the Reformation in 1528, the property passed into the hands of Bernese patricians and citizens of Thun, who held it for several centuries. In the 19th century, the Bernese merchant G. Christen acquired the estate, had it renovated, and established a domestic science school there, which operated for decades.
