Bagow Manor
The manor house was built in 1545 by Albrecht von Schlieben. The Lords of Schlieben lived in the house until 1693. Around 1700, ownership changed to the Lords of Grävenitz and in 1772 to the Lords of Ribbeck. In 1945, the von Ribbecks were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.
After the Second World War, a central school settled in the manor house, which moved in 1963. In 1975, it was repurposed as an anti-fascist memorial, commemorating 100 liberated prisoners from Brandenburg penitentiary who spent a night here in 1945.
Since 1991, the property has been back in the possession of the von Ribbeck family - the memorial was dissolved on December 31, 1991.
