Blumberg Manor

The origins of the knightly estate of Blumberg date back, when it was initially owned by the von Randow family. It later passed to the von Sydow family. In 1763, the estate was inherited as a male fief by the von der Osten family. Under Karl von der Osten, the current manor house was built in 1792, flanked by two cavalier houses. The estate also included the outworks of Carlsburg and Hammelstall, the latter known for its sheep farming. There was a change of ownership within the von der Osten family; in 1898, Friedrich Wilhelm von der Osten, who also owned Penkun Castle, took over Blumberg Manor. The last owner before 1945 was Dr.
