Bomsdorf Manor

The origins of the Bomsdorf estate date back to when it was a fief of the Pförten dominion. Until 1698, the property remained in the possession of the von Bomsdorff family, after which it changed owners several times in the following decades. In 1731, Friedrich von Hayn commissioned the construction of a manor house, whose architecture was influenced by Neuzelle Baroque. In the mid-19th century, specifically 1850, Prot von Wiedebach made changes to the building, giving it a classical character. From 1893 until the end of World War II, the von Kunow family resided in the manor.
