Dahlwitz Manor
The ownership of the Dahlwitz estate changed frequently over the centuries since the Middle Ages; for example, in 1716 Carl Hildebrand Freiherr von Canstein sold Dahlwitz to the Privy Councillor Freiherr Samuel von Marschall. A street near the village church in the town is named after von Canstein today.
In 1855/56, the castle-like manor house Dahlwitz was built by the architect Friedrich Hitzig on behalf of Carl Heinrich von Treskow. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.
The manor house is located in a park designed by Peter Joseph Lenné and named after him, and was extensively restored and renovated in 2011.
