Dalwitz Manor

Gutshaus Prebberede+
The estate was owned by the von Bassewitz family from the 14th century until their forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945. The current manor house was built in 1726 on the walls of an old moated castle. In 1855, a neo-Gothic side wing was added by Heinrich Graf von Bassewitz. In 1945, the owners were expropriated and expelled by the communists. In 1992, the estate returned to the possession of the noble von Bassewitz family. Dr. Heinrich Graf von Bassewitz, recipient of the Agricultural Culture Prize, practices organic farming with his wife Lucy Gräfin von Bassewitz and has furnished apartments and guest rooms in the house.
