Dammerstorf Manor

Gut Saathain is a former knight's estate in Röderland, Brandenburg. The manor house is a listed building.

The manor house of Gut Saathain was built in 1711 by the von Rohr family. It is a two-story plastered building with a mansard roof. In the 19th century, the manor house was rebuilt and extended several times.

In 1905, the estate was owned by the Lübbe family. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.

After German reunification, the manor house was extensively renovated. Today, it houses a hotel and a restaurant. The manor house is also a popular venue for weddings and other events.

The manor house of Gut Saathain is an impressive example of Baroque architecture. Particularly noteworthy are the ornate stucco ceilings in the ballroom and the historic tiled stoves in some of the rooms.

The manor house is surrounded by a spacious park, which was laid out in the 18th century. The park features old trees, a pond, and various sculptures.

The Saathain Manor Park

The manor park of Saathain is a listed garden monument. It was laid out in the 18th century and redesigned in the 19th century according to plans by Peter Joseph Lenné. The park is characterized by its old trees, its winding paths, and its picturesque views.

In the park, there is also a small chapel, which was built in the 19th century. The chapel is a popular place for weddings and baptisms.
