Damp Manor

The Damp Estate is located between Vogelsang-Grünholz and the Baltic Sea resort of Damp, almost directly on the K 61 in Hegenholz. The estate was first mentioned in 1438. It was initially under the Bishop of Schleswig and has been independent ever since.

The manor house, often referred to as a castle, was built in 1595 in the Renaissance style and has been rebuilt several times. The manor, built on an artificial river island, has a ten-meter-high entrance hall from which a double grand staircase leads to the upper floor.
