Dobersdorf Manor

The first mention of Dobersdorf dates back to 1340, when a motte-and-bailey castle was located south of the later estate. Around 1475, the Pogwisch family took over the property and established the estate, which they held until the 17th century. After the death of the last male Pogwisch heir in 1625, Dobersdorf passed through the hands of several noble families, including Reventlow, Brockdorff, and Rantzau. At the beginning of the 18th century, the estate transferred to the Blome family. Christoph Blome had the current manor house built between 1770 and 1772, but due to a testamentary disposition, it remained uninhabited for a long time and was managed by a family foundation in the 19th century.
