Döbbelin Manor

Döbbelin Manor House, often referred to as Döbbelin Castle, is a manor house in Saxony-Anhalt. This Baroque estate is a striking example of regional architecture.

The origins of the current manor house date back to 1736, when Hans-Christoph von Bismarck, who had inherited the estate six years prior, had a predecessor building redesigned. The existing foundations and cellars were integrated into the new construction. The building presents itself as a single-story, plastered structure with a high plinth floor and a mansard hip roof. Characteristic features include the three-axis central risalits on the courtyard and garden sides, as well as a two-flight grand staircase leading to the entrance. The gables display the alliance coats of arms of the Bismarck and Jagow families. The ensemble also includes two farm buildings and a dovecote.
