Children's home

The Drochow Manor House is located in the federal state of Brandenburg and currently houses a children's home. Its history is linked to the development of a former knight's seat, which existed until the 20th century.

The origins of the Drochow estate trace back to a knight's seat that emerged from the secularized Doberlug Monastery. This knight's seat developed into a manor that persisted until 1945. The current manor house was built around 1880 but underwent a complete reconstruction around 1945. After World War II, the manor was divided among new farmers as part of the land reform.
