History of the Manor House+
The Düssin Manor House was built in the mid-18th century. In 1908, Konrad Graf Kanitz had the manor house rebuilt. In 1911, ownership transferred to Georg Plang and in 1919 to his sons. In 1938, the Hanseatic city of Hamburg bought the property to establish an outpost here for the accommodation of mentally ill people. Towards the end of World War II, the manor management and patients fled to the Western sector. The manor house has been vacant since 1996.
