Eichhorst Manor

Eichhorst Manor House was built on the foundations of a previous building in 1821. At that time, the noble family von Below, who were probably also the builders of this house, were the estate owners. Subsequently, Karl von Engel, lord of Breesen, and his family are mentioned as estate owners. The von Engels expanded the complex and had the farm buildings erected. Jürgen Werner Graf von Schwerin is named as the last noble owner. He managed the estate until his forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945.

After World War II, refugees were initially housed in the building, and later it served as a normal residential house for several families. From 1964, the local secondary school was housed in the building, where classes were taught until the 1990s. The right farm building was erected in the mid-18th century and served as living space for 4 families in the post-war years. After the reunification, the manor house became private property.
