Gnewikow Manor

From the Middle Ages to the Present

The estate belonged to the von Woldeck family since the late Middle Ages and only passed into the possession of the bourgeois Jacobs family from 1844. In 1800, the construction of a single-story manor house began, which was extended by an additional floor and given late-classical facades in 1870. The manor park is designed with numerous garden art elements and thus shapes the cultural landscape around Lake Ruppin. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists. Since its reconstruction in 2003/2004, the manor house has been used as the Hotel and Restaurant Gut Gnewikow and belongs to the Jugenddorf am Ruppiner See.
