Holiday homes

Groß Helle is first mentioned in a document in 1363. In the 15th century, the estate was owned by Berend von Maltzan. After this, ownership changed in 1656 to Joachim Engel, in 1751 to Gotthard Karl Friedrich von Peccatel auf Wrodow, in 1785 again to the Lords of Maltzan, in 1802 to Carl David Heinrich Lüders, and from 1816 until their forced expropriation and expulsion by the communists in 1945 to the von Flügge family.

The manor house was presumably built on the foundations of a previous building around 1870. In the post-war years, apartments were set up in the house. It also served as a cultural center and kindergarten. After the manor house stood empty for a long time, it was auctioned in 2008 for 70,000 €. In April 2012, initial renovation work took place. Dr. Peter Wollny, managing director of REWO-Veraltung und Vermietung GmbH, is leading the very extensive renovation work here on behalf of an investor group. Already in December 2012, the manor house had regained its former appearance on the facades. The outdoor area around the castle pond has been re-cultivated. At Pentecost 2013, the manor house, in which exclusive holiday apartments have been furnished, will be reopened.
