Groß Potrems Manor

The history of Gutshaus Groß Potrems began in 1805 when Friedrich von Gadow acquired the estate along with Wendorf. The von Gadow family managed the estate until they were expropriated and expelled in 1945 as part of the communist land reform. During the GDR era, the manor house served as a consumer cooperative and functioned as a meeting point for the village community. After reunification, in 1993, the Berlin hotelier Erwin Opel acquired the manor house, which was in need of renovation. He had it restored by 1996 and opened a hotel there.
