Groß Wüstenfelde Manor

The half-timbered building, dating back to 1740, was erected on a fieldstone foundation. Previously, a castle complex with a Slavic ring wall stood on the same site. The Smecker family is mentioned as the first estate owners in the Middle Ages. At the beginning of the 19th century, the Schröder family took over the estate, selling it in 1825 to the Oppenheimer brothers. In 1843, the nobleman von der Kettenburg bought the estate and managed it with his family until its settlement in the mid-1920s of the last century. After the end of World War II, apartments and a kindergarten were set up in the manor house.

Today, the manor house is privately owned, and after extensive renovation work in 1996, rental and holiday apartments were established.
