Grubnow Manor

The locality of Grubnow was owned by the St. Jacobi Church in Stralsund until the 16th century. Around 1580, the von Paselich family from Liddow acquired the estate, holding it until the 19th century. The current manor house was built around 1920 for the son of Knight Erich Kroos, who resided at the neighboring Lebbin estate at the time. After World War II, the building served as accommodation for up to 50 refugees, primarily from East Prussia. The original layout of the complex has been altered, with only the manor house itself remaining today, while the former stables and farm buildings have been demolished.
