Hasselburg Manor, a manor and estate house, is located in Altenkrempe in the district of Ostholstein, Schleswig-Holstein. It is considered an example of a complete 18th-century estate and is now a center for cultural events.

History+

The origins of Hasselburg Estate date back to a fortified manorial seat of the late Middle Ages. The original manor house was a double house surrounded by moats, which was largely replaced in the 18th century by a Baroque renovation and new construction. The estate was owned by Holstein families. Today, it is managed by the Stahlberg Foundation.

The manor house is a two-story building with nine axes, a hip roof, and a gabled central risalit. Its festive hall and illusionistic ceiling paintings show spatial art.
