Höltenklinken Manor

The origins of Höltenklinken stretch back as a noble estate, whose farmers in Rümpel were bound to service. As early as 1593, a paper mill existed here, later converted into a gunpowder mill and operated as a copper mill until 1874. Around 1850, the estate expanded its economic activities with the construction of a brickworks and the operation of a distillery. Following the Prussian annexation of Schleswig-Holstein, the estate became part of the Stormarn district and was assigned to the Rümpel administrative district in 1889. The current manor house was built in 1906. With the dissolution of the estate districts in 1928, Höltenklinken was incorporated into Rümpel.
