The Manor House of Gut Bärenklau+
Gut Bärenklau, first mentioned in a document in 1313, is a former manor house in the village of Bärenklau, part of the municipality of Löwenberger Land in the Oberhavel district.
History of the Manor House+
The manor was owned by the Roosen family in the 19th century. In 1912, ownership transferred to the Glantz family. In 1945, the owners were dispossessed and expelled by the communists.
The Manor House after 1945
After 1945, the manor house was initially used to accommodate refugees. Later, it served as a village shop, a doctor's office, and a residential building. In the 1990s, the manor house stood empty and fell into disrepair.
The Manor House Today
In 2004, the manor house was acquired by a private investor and extensively renovated. Today, it is used as a residential building and a venue for events.
